Danny Chase Test Scene: At the Shelter
Vic Stone had seen far too many of these in his life, but that's what happens when you're a hero. And what was the most interesting was that, in the wake of what everyone was calling the Blackest Night, many of those who had died int eh attack were alive, and even a decent amount of the attackers as well. With him, Kory, and Gnarrk knocked with the rest of the Titans through Hypertime, but now the "Oh God we're not dead" parties are mostly over now it's time to get to work, trying to figure out those of their number that came back. And considering the large amount of dead Titans who were also orphans and shelter children, it would do good diligence to visit shelters looking for their own.
Plus every visit would not only bring media attention but several of the Titans who were independently wealthy would donate a good deal of money to support them. Win win, in Vics mind.
So there he was, the gleaming metal Titan himself, looking at the rickety door of a homeless shelter continuing his search for lost Titans.

Danny Chase Test Scene: At the Shelter - Part II
What he saw was a sight for sore eyes. Victor Stone, a.k.a. Cyborg was the source of the stir in the crowd in the homeless shelter. Danny stood erect with his shoulders back to bring him to his full height. It was obvious that Cyborg was looking for someone or something. It was too soon yet to even guess at what he was looking for.
Slowly, he worked his way across the large room towards Cyborg. He’d covered about half the distance when Vic’s gaze met Danny’s. Danny tensed. Then Vic smiled! Danny strode to meet his friend. It had been a long time. He didn’t remember if he was on good terms with Vic, or not. No time like the present to find out where he stands. When Danny reaches Vic, he thrusts his right prosthetic hand to shake Vic’s hand.
Re: Danny Chase Test Scene: At the Shelter - Part II
Danny Chase.
And he came up to Vic and shook his hand. It was the same prosthesis from before he had died which was odd considering how most of the resurrections happened, but it was him.
"Danny. How long have you been here?"
Re: Danny Chase Test Scene: At the Shelter - Part II
Danny looked around the room cautiously. "Is there something I should worry about?" Returning his gaze towards Cyborg.
Re: Danny Chase Test Scene: At the Shelter - Part II
Cyborg tilts his head towards what he hopes was an empty room. This was a bit too...delicate to simply say around civilians.
"Once we got some privacy, we can talk shop."
Re: Danny Chase Test Scene: At the Shelter - Part II
Danny looks to where Cyborg was glancing. A room primarily used for storage, but otherwise empty.
"This way," he says and starts towards the room. When he reaches the door he holds it open for Cyborg.
[Danny plans of following Cyborg into the room and closing the door after them so no one follows them.]
Re: Danny Chase Test Scene: At the Shelter - Part II
"Since the Blackest Night, there have been....well, there have been a whole hell of a lot of lives regained. Civilians, heroes, villains. Even folks who we didn't even remember right got a new lease on life. So, start from what was the first thing you remember after your-"
Vic catches himself. He almost just said death. Let's not dwell on that.
"-arrival here. Anything stick out? Anything weird?"
Re: Danny Chase Test Scene: At the Shelter - Part II
Danny looks straight into Cyborg's eyes. "Is there something that I should have noticed, but didn't? I know I was dead, and I know I'm alive now, feeling stronger than I've ever felt. This 'Blackest Night' thing, what did it do besides bring people back to life?"
Danny switches to Phantasm in the blink of an eye. "Is this what is needed? Just say the word and I'll follow. If not," and he switches back to his Danny Chase appearance, "I'm still at your command if you need me in another capacity."
Re: Danny Chase Test Scene: At the Shelter - Part II
Still the impetuous little kid he remembers.
"It didn't bring everyone back to life. All the folks who died during it did as far as we know, as well as a good deal more heroes and villains. Even when they've been dead for years."
Re: Danny Chase Test Scene: At the Shelter - Part II
Danny looked up at Cyborg, wondering, 'Is this really happening? Am I finally going to get to work with the Titans because they actually want me? That would be a nice change of pace. And it would get me out of the homeless shelters I've been sleeping in.'
